Buffalo River Fest Park Festival
Join the fun at the Buffalo River Fest Park Festival on June 16 – 18, 2017. Build your boat to enter the Rigidized River Fest Regatta where cash prizes will be awarded for the most creative homemade seaworthy vessel and the best built seaworthy vessel. Fathers and children can enter the fishing contest on Saturday. Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy listening to a variety of live entertainment at this festival held in River Fest Park.
BBQ and Blues Bash
Enjoy listening to the best Buffalo area’s blues, rock, and jam bands during a four-hour concert at the BBQ and Blues Bash on June 16, 2017. Stop on Illinois Street next to the KeyBank Center to sample great barbecue from many area vendors. Do not get too full as you will want to buy one-of-a-kind desserts at the Gateway-Longview Foundation bake sale with all proceeds going to help families of sick children across Western New York.
Attendees have been having a great time at the Juneteenth Festival of Buffalo since 1976. This festival happening on June 17 and 18 celebrates African American heritage. Get there early for the parade starting at Genesee Street and Moselle at 11:00 AM. Watch entertainers perform live at the Arts and Culture Stage located on Fillmore Avenue and E. Parade Street on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Bring your money with you so that you can shop from the many arts and crafts vendors and eat at the food court. Visit the Health Pavilion for free checkups.
Make the short journey from Buffalo north to Lewiston for the Lewiston GardenFest. A special butterfly release will open this festival at 11 a.m. on June 17. Bring along your favorite potted plant so that you can win prizes in the Container Garden Contest. Shop for many unique plants and gardening items from the vendors located along Historic Center Street. Learn more about gardening by listening to the demonstrations given by gardening experts.
